| With medals from two Eritrean athletes in the 2004 games, it seems the country is well on the way to achieving that goal. First, Zersenay Tadesse won bronze in the 10,000 meters, the first ever medal for Eritrea. Then, in a grueling test of endurance, Meb Keflezighi passed many of the world’s greatest runners, including world record holders and world champions, to finish second in the Olympic Marathon. |
